The marine line of ruggedized, long-range, multi-SIM card, smart routing communications technologies will be on display at the world’s largest afloat show the 59th Annual Fort Lauderdale Boat Show October 31-November 4. AIS will be exhibiting and demonstrating its industry first technologies in conjunction with E.C. Ruff Marine its authorized reseller.

The Marine CORE unit is a LTE communications solution for yachts and ships that reduces satellite costs and provides a bigger internet connection when near shore. Marine CORE has sophisticated software onboard to manage cell tower hand offs as you move to maximize signal strength and the ability to automatically search for the best throughput connection available. The bonded LTE aggregates all cellular connections to maintain session persistence even if one or more cell connects drop due to the ship travelling out of range. The LMR extension functions in the background to detect loss of service to the trunked radio network and send the transmission over the VPN secure LTE connection. This requires no action by the operator. The unit is housed in a billet milled aluminum case for marine, mobile and portable applications making it perhaps the most flexible option available today. It will be available for order at the show and can be ordered on the web site with an MSRP of $4,195. The 16-card application sells for an MSRP of $11,895.

AIS will also be offering a paired-down version of the Marine CORE featuring a 2 SIM card configuration without the embedded satellite smart routing technology but with the same portable flexibility for an MSRP of $2995 at the show and on the web site.
